STYLE! There is a resurging popularity across America for the fabulous
Standards popularized by outstanding vocalists such as Frank Sinatra,
Tony Bennett, Peggy Lee, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin and Ella Fitzgerald
during the 50’s and 60’s. Today, the Standards style
has been embraced by contemporary artists such as Michael Buble’,
Harry Connick Jr, Diana Krall, Rod Stewart, Carly Simon and Sheryl
Crow.
The music is unmistakably stylish and upbeat with an emphasis on
orchestration and vocal presentation. Listeners can’t help
but swing to this music!
Target Audience: Baby Boomers in their 40’s and 50’s

WHAT-AM 1340 is owned by Marconi Broadcasting Company, LLC. Marconi
was formed by Philadelphia entrepreneur, Tom Kelly, who began his
radio broadcasting career in 1980. Tom Kelly also owns Kelly Music
Research, Inc., a leading market research provider to the Radio
industry.
